The Gathering is is a Shamanic Ceremony used to retrieve lost or fragmented parts of Your Soul that may have been disconnected, fragmented, or put safely away due to traumatic or difficult life experiences. You will journey to the spirit world to retrieve and reintegrate lost soul parts. These are basically parts of yourself (perhaps at a young age), that your sub-conscious decided to put safely away and disconnect from you, in order to not live through a particular traumatic event.
How The Gathering (Soul Retrieval Journey) Works?
- You, and your Gatekeeper and I (as Facilitator) will journey to the spirit world.
- The journey will involve you encountering your lost soul parts, speaking with them and receiving messages or guidance.
- You will be taught how to heal your lost soul parts and if you wish to incorporate them back into your Body, Mind and Spirit.
- This is a significant integration and transformational process. It gives you incredible power, awareness, and completeness. It may give you as sense of oneness with The Universe.
- You will meet an Animal Totem, to help you with your specific Issue, and bring its healing qualities and characteristics into your life.
- You will also find a Soul Contract or Agreement which may no longer serve you. You can erase it a create a new Empowering Agreement of your own choosing.

The Gathering also known as Soul Retrieval is a traditional Shamanic practice that has been used for centuries in various indigenous cultures around the world. The Soul Retrieval journey ceremony is a powerful tool for healing and transformation. It is often used to address a wide range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, addiction, and physical illness.
The Gathering:
What if we could go back in time and collect or gather all the parts of ourselves that we put safely away from harm. Would we feel: More Complete? More Grounded? More Joyful? Did you ever feel part of you is missing. We call this ceremony “The Gathering”. Where you placed parts of your perfect child Self away for safe keeping. And now is the time to “Gather” them up and start to live again. The healer journeys to the four chambers of the Soul to discover the source of the client's wounding; to understand the Soul promises they made, even before they were born; to claim the source of their passion and bliss; and to discover the Soul treasures that they can bring forth into the world. It is not uncommon that people experience trauma in their life, and this trauma is a personal experience and strictly interpreted by them, their Luminous Energy Field (LEF), and everything that they are on all levels. It cannot be compared with or against someone else’s trauma, as all human experience is stand alone in its interpretation. When this trauma or incident occurs, a part of that person’s soul is sent back to the Lower World, so that it does not have to experience the trauma, event, or wounding. This part of the person’s soul remains unwounded, and is still in a state of grace. In the moment of that original wounding, people can make or negotiate bad deals for themselves, where they give up a great deal to get a little, or simply just make bad deals. Almost always something that is disempowering, limiting, or painful becomes a Soul Contract that governs them in this life, and it can be very hard, if not impossible, to live outside the terms and conditions of this Soul Contract, unless it is changed. In Soul Retrieval, clients journey to the Lower World to understand (not relive) the original wounding; destroy the existing Soul Contract that governs them and write a new Soul Contract that is empowering and life affirming; clients meet and interact with the healed part of themselves, and invite that healed part to come back with them into their lives; and find a Power Animal that will give them an energy that they need in their life. Soul Retrieval, as with all energy work, is very big and very powerful, and for those that are ready for it, can profoundly change their life and enable them to set their life in order again. Soul Retrieval is a key aspect to the healing process for people who have had a traumatic event in their life. Client’s must be able to work to integrate the healed parts back into themselves. I have been suffering from different ailments from edema to mild depression over the last two years. In late March I had a health scare that forced me to prioritize items in my life and I realized my holistic health was suffering. I reached out to Brenda Johnston (TorontoShaman.com). Brenda took her time to get to know me, to understand what issues I was managing and then helped put a plan together to clear blockages, to relieve stress and tension, and to make me feel that I could achieve the lifestyle I desire.
She helped me understand medicine wheels and how they work. She helped me balance my chakras and strengthen my aura. She created a Sacred Space to enhance my sleeping. We worked on cutting the cords that inhibited growth and spiritual wellbeing. We completed a ceremony called “The Gathering”, which helped me build my confidence as well as recognize my own strengths.
